Good to know in Spain

  • You need an NIE or passport plus a Spanish bank account (IBAN) for direct debit. Check fibre coverage for your exact address first.
  • Installation usually takes 2–15 days with a technician visit. The router is lent to you and must be returned when you leave, or you pay a fee (often €80).
  • Permanence (permanencia) is a minimum term, typically 3–12 months. Leaving early triggers a pro-rata installation penalty (e.g. Lowi €150, Vodafone up to €314).
  • Many fibre-only plans include a landline (fijo) at no extra cost. Promo prices often rise after 12 months, so check the regular price.

Prices checked 11 Oct 2026. All prices include Spain's 21% IVA (VAT), as advertised; the Canary Islands use IGIC instead, so prices and offers there differ. Providers change prices and offers often, and not every plan is sold at every address, so check on the provider’s site before you sign up. We don’t take commission and no provider pays to be listed. How this calculator works

  • Tell it how many people live with you and how you use the internet: it suggests the speed you need
  • Choose a contract length
  • It works out what each plan really costs over 12 or 24 months, including set-up fees and any cheap first months, and puts the cheapest plan that’s fast enough first
  • Every plan links to the provider’s own page, with the date we checked the price

It runs in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to us unless you ask us to email you the results, and we don’t keep it. Results are estimates, not a quote or financial advice: check the official sources linked in each guide before you rely on them.
