Good to know in Canada
- Prices and availability depend on your exact address; enter a postal code on each provider's site. Advertised deals are mostly for new customers only.
- Two-year terms lock in the promo price but carry early-exit fees (Telus: up to $480). No-term plans cost more but suit short stays.
- Expect a credit check and ID with big providers. Switching or connecting typically takes 5-10 business days; self-install kits are faster than technician visits.
- Promo prices usually assume Autopay and jump sharply after 12-24 months. Rogers raised some internet prices twice in 2026, so ask about price guarantees.
Prices checked 11 Oct 2026. Prices are before sales tax: GST/HST/PST adds roughly 5%-15% depending on province, plus small provincial 9-1-1 fees on mobile. Providers change prices and offers often, and not every plan is sold at every address, so check on the provider’s site before you sign up. We don’t take commission and no provider pays to be listed. How this calculator works
- Tell it how many people live with you and how you use the internet: it suggests the speed you need
- Choose a contract length and your city, as providers differ by area
- It works out what each plan really costs over 12 or 24 months, including set-up fees and any cheap first months, and puts the cheapest plan that’s fast enough first
- Every plan links to the provider’s own page, with the date we checked the price
It runs in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to us unless you ask us to email you the results, and we don’t keep it. Results are estimates, not a quote or financial advice: check the official sources linked in each guide before you rely on them.
