Your gratuity uses the same private-sector rules as our gratuity calculator: nothing in your first year, 21 days of basic pay a year for 5 years, then 30 days, up to 2 years’ pay. Your employer must pay your final pay, unused leave and gratuity within 14 days of your last day. Flights, shipping and pet costs are the same estimates as our moving fund calculator. AED 4.90 to £1.

How this calculator works
- Enter your basic pay, years with your employer and unused leave: it works out your gratuity and leave pay under the UAE labour law
- Add your rent, DEWA account and any car you’ll sell, for the deposits and sale money coming back
- Add who’s flying, shipping, pets, any penalty for leaving your lease early, and a UK rental if you’ll need one
- It shows what’s coming in, the cost of getting home, and what’s left, with every line itemised
It runs in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to us unless you ask us to email you the results, and we don’t keep it. Results are estimates, not a quote or financial advice: check the official sources linked in each guide before you rely on them.
